Boyd Group Income Fund appoints new independent trustee PDF Print E-mail

Winnipeg, Manitoba -- November 23, 2012 -- Boyd Group Income Fund has announced the addition of Robert G. Gross to the Fund's Board of Trustees. 

Gross brings extensive management experience to the Fund's Board, including more than 12 years as CEO and board member and almost five years as Chairman of the Board at Monro Muffler Brake. He was recently appointed Executive Chairman at Monro. Prior to his time at Monro, he served as Chairman and CEO at Tops Appliance City and before that as President and Chief Operating Officer at Eye Care Centers of America, a Sears, Roebuck & Co. company. 
 
"We are very pleased to have Rob join our Board," said Al Davis, Independent Chair of the Fund's Board of Trustees. "Rob's deep and solid management experience as Chief Executive Officer at Monro, a multi-location automotive service business in the United States, alongside other past senior management and board positions, makes him a valued addition to the Fund. Gross also serves as Director of Core-Mark International. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Buffalo.

PPG Canada adds to sales team, expands Angrove’s role PDF Print E-mail

Mississauga, Ontario -- November 19, 2012 -- PPG Canada has announced several changes in its business development and sales organization. 

Norm Angrove is now National Business Development and Business Solutions Manager. The promotion expands Angrove’s current Canadian business development responsibilities to include the Canadian business solutions division in his portfolio. 
 
Reporting to Angrove are the regional business solutions and business development managers who bring PPG’s value-added programs and services to collision repair centres across Canada.  
 
“Moving into this new position is very exciting,” said Angrove. “Working as a team, we will ensure that we are providing ongoing value innovation along with the best systems, products and processes to maximize our customers’ profits and their customers’ satisfaction.” 
 
Angrove has more than 30 years of experience in the Canadian automotive aftermarket and refinish industry. Since joining PPG 10 years ago, he has held positions as zone program manager, Ontario regional manager and senior manager, value programs. He is considered an expert in industry marketing trends, distribution and collision centre operations. 
 
Two new team members have been added to the sales division. Teresa Masotti and Melanie Rice have both joined PPG Canada Automotive Refinish as territory managers. 
 
Masotti is a highly experienced sales professional with extensive industry knowledge. Most recently, she was business development manager, Ontario region, with Hooper Welding Enterprises of Oakville, Ontario. Prior to that, she spent five years with Lamons Gasket Company in territory sales, and 13 years with Russel Metals, in business development. Masotti will join the Greater Toronto Area sales team.  
 
Rice is a skilled professional with extensive paint and industrial sales experience. Most recently, she held the position of sales representative for AkzoNobel-Mulco Industrial, Longueil, Quebec. 
 
Before that, she spent five years with AkzoNobel-Decorative Paints, in a national training role and nine years with SICO in media management and sales representative development positions. Rice is based in London, Ontario, and will join the South-Central Ontario sales team.

Montreal, Quebec -- November 19, 2012 -- Guy Bessette, Chairman of the Board  of Fix Auto Canada, has announced the appointment of Steve Leal as President of Fix Auto Canada. 

“Leal is well known for his accomplishments over the last five years in English Canada and is much appreciated for his leadership as well as his passion for our network,” said Bessette in an official statement. “The entire Fix Auto team joins me to wish him the best of success in his new position. 
 
Bessette would also like to thank Manon Duplantie for the work done in her three years as President of Fix Auto Canada. Duplantie will move into new role with the company, serving as Strategic Advisor to the President. Duplantie has been with Fix Auto Canada for 15 years.

Cortland, New York -- November 19, 2012 -- Automotive Lift Institute, a trade association of North American vehicle lift manufacturers, has elected Jerome Lentz of Challenger Lifts Chairman of the board of directors at its annual membership meeting. Lentz takes over from Douglas Grunnet of Stertil-KONI USA, who was recognized at the meeting for his extensive contributions to the organization over his three-year term.

Continuing in their roles on the ALI board of directors are Gary Kennon of Vehicle Service Group, Gary DiAngelo of Wheeltronic, Jeff Kritzer of BendPak, Pete Liebetreu of Hunter Engineering and R.W. O’Gorman, ALI President.
