Boyd Group opens two new shops in North Carolina, one in Georgia

Winnipeg, Manitoba -- August 17, 2012 -- The Boyd Group has announced the opening of a two new repair centres in North Carolina and one in Georgia. The Winnipeg-based Boyd Group now operates 151 locations in the U.S.

The first repair centre is located in Concord, North Carolina and was previously known as Turn 2 Collision. It is approximately 10,000 sq. ft. in size. The second centre in Havelock, North Carolina previously operated as Robert's Body Shop and is approximately 20,000 sq. ft. in size. Both centres are now operating under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name.
 
The new repair center in Alpharetta, Georgia is approximately 10,000 sq. ft. in size. It previously operated as Carson Automotive and is now also operating under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name.
 
"The opening of these centres brings our total locations in North Carolina to 19 and in Georgia to 13, as we continue to execute on our growth strategy by adding new centres in attractive locations to our North American footprint," said Tim O'Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group's U.S. Operations. "Concord is the largest city in Cabarrus County and this addition will help expand our brand in the Charlotte metropolitan area. Havelock is home to the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, the world's largest Marine Corps Air Station, with over 25,000 military personnel. The Havelock location will allow us to better serve vehicle owners and insurance partners on the North Carolina coastline. Likewise, the new Alpharetta center will help us expand service coverage in the north-eastern Atlanta area."
