Hamilton, Ontario -- July 18, 2012 -- Police in Hamilton, Ont. are requesting that all collision repair facilities and recycling yards stay on the lookout for a 1994-1998 black Nissan 240SX model S14. The vehicle could be a coupe, convertible or hatchback. The car may have been involved in a hit-and-run incident.
An elderly man was struck while riding his bicycle in the area of Hwy. 8 and Grays Rd. on July 4, 2012. He sustained injuries that were serious but not life threatening. The collision resulted in the passenger side mirror being torn off by the rider's elbow. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and to date no party has come forward to police.
"This is somewhat of a rare car with somewhat of a car enthusiast following," says D/Cst. Walter Niblock. "It is hopeful that the owner of this vehicle has or will attempt to have the black passenger mirror colour KH3 replaced and or repaired."
Collision repair facilities and recycling yards who are aware of this vehicle or have had an involvement with the replacement or painting of a mirror for this type of vehicle are urged to contact D/Cst. Walter Niblock of the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753 or via email to
