VANCOUVER, BC -- May 2 -- Geri Prior, most recently ICBC's chief financial officer, has taken over as interim president and CEO of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia. She has 21 years of experience with the organization. Before joining ICBC, she held a number of positions in the audit practice at Touche Ross & Co. and holds a commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. Prior will continue to work closely with members of the executive and management to implement ICBC's business plan. ICBC's board of directors has engaged Ray & Berndtson, an executive recruitment firm, to conduct a search for a permanent president and CEO. It was announced in April that Paul Taylor would be leaving his position as CEO of ICBC, effective May 2. He is moving to a new position in the private sector.
