DEG Announces the Launch of Interactive Website Print E-mail
Monday, 03 December 2007
December 3 – Smyrna, DE – The Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG) has officially announced the availability of its newly launched website located at degweb.org. The DEG encourages all users of collision estimating software to review and engage themselves via the website, in conjunction with the tools already provided by the various software providers.

The new website features clear navigation through the Database Inquiry process and a cleaner user interface for enhanced functionality. According to the company, it allows  estimate preparers to provide input to the information providers in an easy, consistent and streamlined manner. To keep the industry abreast of all positive advancements toward more accurate collision estimating data, the website employs the use of a live database of focused content to track all ongoing and resolved inquiries. The DEG will also publish a monthly electronic newsletter that will provide the industry with a regular update of the DEG and website activity.

"The website is one of the most critical elements of the DEG's strategic initiative to aid in the advancement of accurate collision estimating data," said Nick Kostakis, DEG Joint Operating Committee member.  "Our expectation is that we will share a common goal, with the industry and the information providers, of the highest degree of accuracy that is practically possible, and that we will objectively apply supporting data, such as that which might come from the inquiry riginator, the DEG, or an OEM."

In addition to the website, the DEG has previously announced securing a contract for dedicated administration of the DEG and the newly launched site. Aaron Schulenburg, the independent contractor fulfilling this role, was named in the announcement made on October 30, 2007 at the Collision Industry Conference meeting in Las Vegas, NV.
