OAKVILLE, ON -- May 26, 2008 -- Budds’s Collision of Oakville, ON has been added to the Halton Apprenticeship Advisory Council’s 2007 Honour Roll. The Honour Roll awards program formally recognizes six Halton companies that demonstrate excellence in the following areas:

•    Promotion of skilled trades in Halton
•    Recruitment strategies that encourage youth to enter the trades
•    Education and training opportunities with or without apprentices
•    Excellence in the skilled trades

The Halton Apprenticeship Advisory Council (HAAC) was created in December 1998 in response to the skilled labour shortage in Halton Region. Under the Halton Industry Education Council, HAAC is a community effort of business, education, government and labour, meeting regularly (usually monthly) to identify, communicate and resolve problems inherent in skilled labour shortage. The Council's structure is informal to encourage networking and open communication.
