November 20, 2008 -- The winter's first snowfall caused hundreds of accidents across south-central Ontario, but in Halifax NS a snowstorm left stranded hundreds of people in their cars. In the Greater Toronto Area, OPP Sgt. Dave Woodford said police responded to 384 collisions between 4 p.m. yesterday and 5 a.m. today, including one in Grimsby last night that sent two people to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. yesterday, when an SUV driving west on the Queen Elizabeth Way collided with a coach bus.
