Toronto, Ontario -- January 8, 2014 -- The Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) has announced that early registration for its next meeting has commenced.

Running until Jan. 17, 2014, early registration guarantees potential attendees a spot at CCIF's first meeting of 2014. Registration includes a cocktail reception party on Jan. 31, in addition to having access to guest speakers and networking opportunities.

Industry leaders will be in attendance to share their insights into the latest trends in the collision repair industry and where the Canadian market could be headed.

Doug Kirk, global services support manager with AkzoNobel, is one of three guests as part of the weekend's speaker spotlight. A longtime figure in the collision industry, the worldly Kirk will discuss the current state of the market in the United Kingdom, emerging collision repair models and how the collision industry factors into the global economy and how Canada is impacted by market trends.

Volkswagen Group Canada's Eric Boutin will also be speaking at the event, focusing his talk on the importance of professional repairs to ensure the safety and security of all Canadians. Boutin's presentation will demonstrate how critical it is for repairs to be carried out professionally and by well-trained staff in accordance with OEM standards.

Dan Risley, president of the Automotive Service Association, will be in attendance to discuss industry trends from the U.S. and will chat about how his organization has collaborated to find solutions to U.S. issues.

As the company has in past years, AkzoNobel is again sponsoring the CCIF event as a platinum sponsor, having been a sponsor from the time the CCIF was started in 1999.

The CCIF will hold its forum at the Toronto Marriott Airport on Feb 1, 2014, with the day's events kicking off at 7:30 a.m. and running until 3:30 p.m. Rooms are available at the hotel for $139 until Jan. 9.
