NIAGARA FALLS, ON -- October 13, 2009 -- Brian Edwards of DuPont Performance Coatings was presented with the 2009 Roy Kennedy Outstanding Achievement Award for the critical role he played, as CPCA Chair, in the transformation of the CPCA to a successful, modern association. The Canadian Paint and Coatings Association (CPCA), the national voice of Canada’s paint and coatings industry, recognized Brian and Bruce Henderson for their exemplary service to the sector at its Annual Conference, in Niagara Falls, September 20 - 21. “Brian Edward’s commitment to his company is unquestionable,” said Mr. Pierre Dufresne, CPCA Chair, as he conferred the award. “His dedication to the Association is unwavering. His contribution to the success of the sector deserves our admiration and gratitude.” “The CPCA presents the Industry Statesman Award to honour outstanding, sustained contributions to the CPCA during a career,” says Jim Quick, CPCA President. “The Roy Kennedy Outstanding Achievement Award is awarded to volunteers who lead work on critical industry issues.” Bruce Henderson was recognized as the 2009 Industry Statesman for his many years of leadership and hard work ensuring that the coatings industry was represented in the design of regulations at the federal, provincial and municipal levels. |
